Thilo Jourdan
Thilo Jourdan is a seasoned and experienced General Manager, with a background in cloud, manufacturing, HW and SW services for 30+ years. He started his career, serving as an officer (Lieutenant), while studying Electronics at the University of the German Army. With his structured and organized character, he continued his career at a UK based SW company, worked for Siemens for almost 18 years and finished his employment with Amazon Web Services (AWS) after 9 years.
At Siemens, Thilo started in Sales for SW and HW Service and became General Manager. He was Member of the regional Managing Board for Siemens in Bavaria with responsibility for Go2Market and sales for Siemens’ Telecommunication Solutions, for Outsourcing and Outtasking of strategic services for German DAX companies. He changed position and led sales globally for Siemens’ Road and Rail -Intelligent Traffic Solutions business by increasing sales in 3 years by +25%. He finished his career with Siemens, after leading the Germany Rail business for almost 4 years very successfully.
Joining AWS, Thilo, acting as Global Account Manager for Siemens, defined the Go2Market strategy for large global manufacturing companies and how to support them best with Cloud. He and his global account organization have proven his strategy by outgrowing their accounts year over year for 6 years by far.
Thilo has driven and influenced many careers of peers and talents throughout his different employments by coaching and mentoring numerous people. He engaged personally in programs like DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) for women into leadership at AWS.
Thilo holds a diploma of Electrical Engineering by the University of the German Army, Munich. He worked in the US, China, almost all European companies, Russia and the middle east (VAE, Oman).
Privately, Thilo started painting and drawing with acrylic in 2010, he is playing Golf, and he loves to do some woodwork in his carpenter workshop. Since 2022, he has been enjoying being Grandfather, too.
